At the same time, somewhere in the country outside a science museum, where you can actually drive without security checks upto the very gate of the main building, halted a car in a no parking area where some other bikes were parked. A man got down and ran away at top speed. And then - BOOM ... a bomb exploded in the car almost immidiately. The blast was more of noise and vibrations as if my cell was ringing in 'ring and vibrate' mode. However, the circle or better call sphere of fire was tiny... yet it managed to shake the Ministers's houses in Delhi (no the blast didnot occur in Delhi... wherever it was - writers wont tell you , for they donot know themselves!! )... well somehow the blast which wasnot big enough to naked eye looked as devastating as the Tsunami on the news Channels and the country's top agents got working on it! They had a file warning but probably they like the Titanic sinking.
In the CBI office (if that's what it is called because moreover its the most stupid place in the series - where people are more keen on their relationships than their country!). Anyways.. Jhanvi sat on the table (I mean TABLE) wearing the kind of clothes that never suit her and make me uncomfortable but somehow - she's loving them! She sits there filing her nails when Mahesh walks to her. Mahesh is the most familiar thing to Michael Jackson! He must have attempted plastic surgery atleast once but yet he looks yakh! He always has that troubled - for - no - good - reason expression on his face. He goes to Jhanvi..
"Hi Mahesh" says Jhanvi. Mahesh beamed for a moment which made no difference to his face. But a moment later he halted a little out of nervousness and approached Jhanvi. He looked pretty confident as he reached her and then spoke with a matter - of - factly voice "I got something important for you Jhanvi"... Jhanvi didnot look up. Her nodded while filing her nails. "Jhanvi..." called Mahesh again... Jhanvi continued filing her nails. Mahesh grew little impatient "I want you to look up and What are you doing Jhanvi?". Jhanvi let out a sigh, stopped filing her nails and looked at Mahesh. "What is it Mahesh? I am filing my nails, can't you see?"
Mahesh's expressions softened all in a second. He took her hand in his and saw her nails. Slowly everyone in the office halted to see them both and Jhanvi noted this. She hastily took her hand out of Mahesh's. She said "Mahesh what are you doing?". "Baby what are you doing? Kya kar rahi ho tum? Tumhare nakun itne ache toh hain. Unhe chota kyun kar rahi ho?" replied Mahesh with a Baby - I - Love - You tone. Jhanvi didnot like the idea of an office romance and got annoyed. She answered back "Mahesh grow up! Dont call me 'baby' and all. Meri khud ek ladki hai jo mere jitni hi badi hai. That is another issue that she looks horrible and got no sense of dress up." "Neither have you got any!" commented Mahesh in a very low voice. "What? Kya kaha tumne?" asked Jhanvi... and then Mahesh suddenly started shaking... "wohh main... wohh main..." he stammered. "Wohh main kya Dinesh? I mean Mahesh..." snapped Jhanvi. Mahesh took a rose from inside his coat pocket and gave it to her. Jhanvi refused to take it. "Par Jhanvi main tumhe sach mein pasand karta hoon. Hum dono toh college se ek saath hai na." said Mahesh in his defense. "Mahesh..." called Jhanvi very sweetly. "Bola na.." replied Mahesh. "Tumhe kya lagta hai ye sab log jo yahan khade hain wohh kyu khade hain?" asked Jhanvi. Mahesh looked at them all carefully and they carried a file each and were extending it towards Jhanvi standing wherever they were. "ye sab ko kaam ki files ke kar aaye hain" said Mahesh innocently. "Dhang se check karo Mahesh darling." commented Jhanvi again filing her nails. Mahesh snatched files from one of them and saw that the file name was the name of the person and not that of any case and it contained a rose. Another file with name of another officer, had a love letter addressed to Jhanvi. Mahesh got angry. He started scolding the officers "Yeh karte ho tum log office mein? Apni senior lady collegue ko tan karte ho..." Mahesh had to speak further but Jhanvi stopped him by saying "Chill Mahesh! Jao.. tumhare office mein phone baj raha hai.. utha lo. Kahin minister ka na ho!" Mahesh walked off to his office and the other officers started walking towards Jhanvi.
