Part 7 : Merope's role

Anyways, poor Merope, fully broke and shattered had no where to go. She couldn’t go to her house afraid that her dad and her brother might be back or scared that she might see her husband who probably would have married someone else and hated her even more by now. So, all we can surely say is that Merope definitely did some work to feed her unborn child. Meanwhile, all inside, she was feeling bad as one does when they go through difficult phases of life.

Merope must be thinking how useless her life is…being born in a wizarding family and not just any wizarding family but being a descendant of Salazar Slytherin but still not being able to do magic. Her father and brother were ashamed of her. She hurt the guy whom she so dearly loved and now he probably hates her or is scared of her. Merope couldn’t ever catch his attention and failing to do so, she committed the biggest mistake of her life – marring Tom Riddle and keeping him committed to her with the help of Love Potion.

In the muggle world – it is said that whatever a pregnant mother goes through, her baby feels the same.

Here begins the real story – all about Lord VOLDEMORT!!!

He wasn’t even born but through his mother’s emotions, he could experience bitterness of the world; guilt of his mother for kind of cheating his dad and his mother’s helplessness about him. Surely Merope was worried about her baby. She was so much shattered that she knew she wouldn’t live long enough to see the sole heir of Slytherin to grow but she did think to make him aware of his true identity…as she carried the Slytherin locket with her. However, she had to sell the locket but in the orphanage, when she delivered the baby, as a last tribute or plea for forgiveness, to the two people she loved the most and to whom she became the reason of embarrassment, her father and her husband; she names her son ‘Tom Marvolo Riddle’

Probably she did so to let Voldemort find about his past conveniently to take revenge…I cant say clearly but yes she did want him to know his true identity. She died…ending up all her miseries and doing the second biggest mistake of her life – letting her son on his own.

I shall not say “just like any other child” as Tom Marvolo was NOT like any other child! Even the orphanage matron told this to Dumbledore. He was different…very different. Born for a special reason, he wasn’t just any other kid.
