Part 2 : Salazar Slytherin - merits

Moving still ahead, Salazar Slytherin built a secret room in the castle which no one but only his true descendant could open. This sheds light on 2 major things -
Firstly building something like this does require a lot of powerful magi. Not only magic but also excellant planning and co - ordination / execution as well. So we know Slytherin had these skills. Now building a whole chambers right under the nose of 3 most wise and capable wizards, isnt anything fun...is it? I dont think so.

Anyways, secondly as stated in the books, that the castle was searched thoroughly but the chambers wasnt discovered. Now the question comes to - who searched the castle? The answer is quite obvious : The school staff, headmasters of Hogwarts, Aurors, Ministry officials and maybe even the 3 remaining founders but the chambers wasnt discovered (until in 1992 Harry disclosed its location to Dumbledore). On this point let me remind you that al the people who searched for the chambers were highly qualified, trained and witty, yet failures in finding the chambers.

Imagine the spell(s) used to maintain security must have had been so strong. Not only this spell but imagine Salazar's cleverness to think all this and making sure that his secret remains secret and then laying lues so that only his true descendant can find them.
This all according to me is highly remarkabe and intelligent.

If you think all that was simply a great - brain's work, then imagine how dreadful it would have had been for him to lead the rest of his life in total darkness. No one knows what happened to Slytherin after the fight.
Hermoine, if knows an answer, cant stop herself from answering for a moment...then imagine Slytherin's misery of keeping his immense knowledge, skill, magi and cleverness in complete dark. Think of what great achievements could have been credted to him if he hadnt suddenly taken refuge in the 'unknown lands'
We dont hear anything else about him at all later in the story but I thought of something obvious.
