Part 5 : Gaunts
I would really like to still express what extent of misery I talk of but that would be only taking space and so lets get onto Gaunts as there is no mention of the in between generations.
Marvolo Gaunt, as we meet him in the memories of a ministry official, is a highy frustrated and angry person who really hated the ministry and didnt stick to rules. He had a nasty temper and hated squibs. We could even interpret that he must have hated muggle borns as well. He believed himself to be superior being a descendant of Salazar. From the above, we can definitely say that. Slytherin family grew nastier each generation.
Well I guess anything can happen in the wizarding world and this may be one of them - blood being passed down. By blood I mean habits, characteristics, opinions and experiances of elders. Like Harry inherited quidditch and the habit to break rules from his father...maybe just like that all Slytherins inherited the anger of their previous generations. When we talk of this point, I would also like to highlight that another brainwave of Salazar was that he must have somehow made sure that his true descendant finds the chamber and is worthy of usin it.
I don’t think it was just blood as Sirius Black inspite of being a black was a true Gryffindor. And so I believe that there is something that if you want to pass to your descendants, you can. Like Sirius got his Gryffindor spirit from the other 6 people of his family who got disowned by the family. Harry got his face, Quidditch and habits from his dad for his dad had had a great time at Hogwarts and wanted Harry to feel the same if not more. The thing determining this all is probably some strong ancient magic but I think it can be just your strong will.
When we talk of magic and especially Harry Potter; we must not forget that magic cant be done if you don’t mean to do it. Small wizards, younger than ones going to school often do magic because they want things to happen. Harry left a snake on
Well the motive of these examples was that if you want something to happen, it will! Slytherin during his later years of life of misery must have wanted badly to let him have a descendant, true and worthy, who shall find the chambers, complete his incomplete task and earn the name Slytherin never got. That’s how all anger, frustration, hatred, shame, etc passed on from one generation to other so that the wish of Salazar lives inside his all descendants and the true one can interpret it too…and finally to Gaunts who had so much of these that they started letting it out now.
